Blue sky day

18th March 2026

Finally after a spell of unsettled windy weather high pressure is here with plenty of sunshine and light winds. Although summit temperatures rose to above freezing during the day, shaded slopes remained very firm with serious run out potential on steep slopes. See photo’s below for general conditions.

This rock fall on a Westerly aspect happened a couple of weeks ago during a mild spell. One of the larger boulders ran to the corrie floor.
