Squally showers
27th March 2026
After a night of mild temperatures the freezing level lowered back down to 700 metres by early afternoon. Gusty Westerly winds crossed the mountains with occasional snow and hail showers during the afternoon. Generally the old snowpack is very firm, but where recent accumulations of windslab remain, it was none weight bearing and sometimes deep, but generally this could be avoided most of the time. Below coire levels, the paths are mostly clear of snow.
