Cloudy with showers

9th April 2026

It was a cloudy day with the odd bright spell. The freezing level remained around the summits for much of the morning and only lowered slowly in the afternoon to around 1100 metres. The remaining snow cover after the thaw is patchy above 600 metres and better above 900 metres. Greatest accumulations are in the high North to East facing coires.
