Mild and windy

A mild and windy day with highs of plus 9 degrees Celsius on the summit of Cairngorm. Â The snowpack is diminishing and variable underfoot; Â Glass like ice on foot paths and easy angled terrain, breakable crust through boulder fields and at lower altitudes, firm at higher levels on steep open slopes. Â Many mountaineering groups and a few climbers were out making the most of conditions.
