A beautiful start to the day, cold and mostly clear with a few centimetres of new snow down to glen level.
By mid morning the cloud increased as snow fall arrived. Â Conditions at higher levels in the Cairngorms were bitterly cold in the North-Westerly winds with summit temperatures as low as minus 8 C. Â Good navigation skills were needed above 1000 metres due to white out conditions.
