Another stunning day
18th December 2021
High pressure continues to dominate, with dry sunny conditions and light winds. Â Summit temperatures were around plus 10 degrees C at midday. Â Freezing temperatures at lower altitudes and glen levels. Â The old snowpack remains very firm and icy. Â Some softening of the snow surface on slopes exposed to direct sunlight.
Views from a warm and sunny Bynack Mor today, looking across towards the summit of Cairngorm.
Thanks to Gillian Parker for the photo.
