Hazy sunshine

A calm day with hazy sunshine. Northerly aspects are very firm in places. Sun exposed slopes softened during the afternoon.
Carn Etchachan and the Shelter stone crag.
Some ice remains at the head of Loch Avon
A small slab avalanche on the knoll at Stac an Fharaidh. More details below.
Slab avalanche which happened during yesterdays stormy weather – strong South winds and snowfall. Steep convex slope, NE aspect. The firm storm slab released on a soft layer beneath. The soft layer of windslab developed on Thursday during the lighter winds from the South.
