Hazy sunshine

A calm day with hazy sunshine.  Northerly aspects are very firm in places. Sun exposed slopes softened during the afternoon.

A small slab avalanche on the knoll at Stac an Fharaidh. More details below.

April 2nd 4Slab avalanche which happened during yesterdays stormy weather – strong South winds and snowfall.  Steep convex slope, NE aspect.  The firm storm slab released on a soft layer beneath.  The soft layer of windslab developed on Thursday during the lighter winds from the South.
