A Just Reward

25th February 2020

Well, after all the weeks of storm force winds and blizzards, finally we get a day of calm; good snow cover and generally good snowpack stability. A rare day to enjoy and savour. Sorry for any indulgence with the photos. Many people were out in the hills also enjoying the day.

But BEWARE,  it will all change tomorrow with weak windslab building on NE to E aspects, mostly due to the new slab lying on top of the existing unconsolidated snow cover.

A calm winters morning on Loch Morlich and in the Northern Cairngorms.
