Occasional snow showers

After several hours of mild temperatures and spells of rain it turned much cooler through the day lows of minus 3 Celsius on the summit of Cairngorm. Occasional snow showers crossed the mountains these heaviest during the afternoon. Â The old snowpack has developed a breakable crust. Â Patchy snowfields remain above 600 metres.
