A day of poor visibility

5th March 2016

The Northerly airstream often brings poor visibility and snowfall to Northern Cairngorms. At one point the cloud lifted to 900 metres but this was short lived and it remained at around 700 metres for most of the day.  Very disorientating conditions to be in especially if travelling by ski at plateau level, when the sight of a rock brings some light relief.
