Cold with snow showers

16th April 2016

Another cold day with snow showers at all levels.  Fresh Northerly winds making it feel very cold, minus 6 degrees C over the summits for most of the day.  Plenty of deep drifts above 800m, snow cover is generally good above this level.  Soft snow overlies a firm base, boulder fields are filling in.
