A soggy day

31st March 2017

Persistent rain with hill mist and strong winds, it felt very much like an unpleasant wet summers day.  Large snow patches are surviving on coire back walls.  Snow also remains at plateau levels, the ground was still frozen and firm where recent snow patches had retreated.  Glazed ice also surrounded some snow fields – despite mild conditions my ice axe was useful.

The Allt Mor burn in full spate.
