Squally snow showers

15th April 2017

Minus 3C at summit levels with 50 mph North-Westerly winds, quite a severe windchill.   At times poor visibility on the plateau during blustery snow showers.  The sparse old snowpack remains firm with serious run outs into boulder fields below.

Continuing cold with further snow showers expected above 800 metres during Sunday.  Strong Northerly winds easing.
