Squally snow showers

Minus 3C at summit levels with 50 mph North-Westerly winds, quite a severe windchill. Â At times poor visibility on the plateau during blustery snow showers. Â The sparse old snowpack remains firm with serious run outs into boulder fields below.
Continuing cold with further snow showers expected above 800 metres during Sunday. Â Strong Northerly winds easing.
