Another windy day

13th January 2018

Once again the Cairngorms were obscured by clouds brought about by the strong South-Easterly airflow.  Hill conditions were quite challenging…. gale force winds blowing ice pellets, small pebbles and spindrift into your face, googles were essential items.  The breakable crust didn’t make it any easier except once your foot was securely wedged into a nice post hole the surrounding crust gave you a bit more stability during the stronger gusts so long as you braced yourself.  All good character building!
