Wild and Windy

14th February 2018

Storm force winds and snowfall with whiteout conditions all day today – couldn’t see very much or get very far into the mountains – but one can safely say that it is emphatically bad in terms of avalanche hazard and overhead weather conditions. Wind speeds of over 100 mph on the summits with steady wind speeds of 40 gusting 60mph at 600m elevations.
