Arctic Blast day 4

3rd March 2018

Slightly milder temperatures, minus 8 celsius instead of minus 10 on the summits, and less windy gusting 60 instead of 100mph. This makes all the difference to your general well being.

Visibility was still poor especially at coire levels mainly due to drifting snow and snowfall.  Weaknesses persist in the snowpack due to the continuing cold temperatures.  This was also observed in steep banks at lower levels.

The Cairngorms are out there somewhere. Views from Loch Morlich
