Blizzard and Whiteout Conditions 3

6th March 2018

Another very windy day, milder at lower levels – with the freezing level at 600m. Any new snow deposits have become pretty consolidated on lee aspects. Heavy drifting above 800 metres and more extensive cover on westerly facing slopes. Visibility remains very poor.

Ciste carpark and view to Glenmore appear out of the cloud.

Another challenging day for the hill with heavy and continual drifting of dense slab onto the roads above 550m.
