Strong Winds on the Tops.

11th April 2018

A day of very poor visibility on the tops and a very strong wind, although summit air temperatures were warm +3 degrees centigrade, windchill made it feel much colder. The snowpack remains very soft and moist in the surface layers, with some instabilities possible on steep slopes.
