It definitely feels like Winter

4th March 2019

A reminder today of the winter conditions that we have missed, strong winds drifting snow and the need to use the compass. Snow is generally beginning to accumulate, yesterday on the plateau it was pretty much devoid of snow, hollows and slopes are now beginning to hold more depth. Knee deep snow in sheltered places.

A wintry scene – a party sheltering from the wind behind chais ridge summit cairn.
