Mild and windy day 2

29th December 2019

Another mild and very windy day.  Temperatures of plus 4C on the summit of Cairngorm, plus 8C at 800 metres.  The snow pack continues to diminish.  Some light drizzle arrived during the afternoon.  Busy in the Cairngorms national park but not so on the hill.  A temperature inversion over the cairngorms enhanced wind speeds across the summits, gust of over 110 mph were recorded during the night.  Less windy and a little cooler tomorrow!
