Cooler with clear spells

24th January 2020

A cooler day with freezing levels lowering to 1000 metres, the snow is patchy but there is still plenty around on corrie back walls.

The snowpack is firmer than of late so a good day to get some use out of crampons and ice axe before they get too rusty!

Snow patches look a lot bigger close up – The Cas Head Wall

Bright spells over the plateau – Looking South down Coire Raibert.

Lean conditions in Coire and Sneachda.

Patchy snow on the plateau but exposed areas are mostly clear.
