Cold and less windy

23rd February 2020

Several centimetres of fresh snow fell down to glen levels during the night.  Rivers and fields are still flooded after Fridays torrential rain.  In the Cairngorms, strong to gale force winds have scoured exposed ridges and slopes at higher levels.  Lee areas hold deep and in places widespread accumulations of soft and firm windslab.
