Frequent heavy snow showers

22nd February 2020

The ski road remained closed for the duration of the day due to heavy snow showers and drifting.  Westerly winds were gusting over 100 mph at summit levels.  Windslab accumulations soon became deep and extensive; a day not to put anything down on the snow whilst doing a profile as it would be lost forever until the next big thaw!

Conditions at 1000 metres
