Frequent heavy snow showers

The ski road remained closed for the duration of the day due to heavy snow showers and drifting. Â Westerly winds were gusting over 100 mph at summit levels. Â Windslab accumulations soon became deep and extensive; a day not to put anything down on the snow whilst doing a profile as it would be lost forever until the next big thaw!
