Cool Westerly winds.

16th January 2022

A bright day with moderate to strong Westerly winds, minus 3C on the highest summits.   Many people were out and about making the most of the limited firm snow on the higher slopes and corrie back walls.  Great walking conditions too, but remember to take your winter kit if your planning to cross any snowfields as they are currently very hard and icy.

A white saltire.

Firm and icy underfoot.

Limited snow but what remains is very firm.

Aladdin’s Buttress.

Looking towards the Goat Track and Fiachaill Buttress.

Plenty of boulder fields to hang around in.
