Snowfall at higher levels.
12th February 2022
Rain turned to snowfall above 900 metres. Â South-Westerly winds were gusting 90 to 100 mph during the night, easing through the day. Â The snowpack is soft and thawing at lower altitudes. Â Westerly facing slopes and the West side of most ridges are mostly clear of snow. Â Gales are expected to continue through the night before turning much lighter through the day time.
