Severe South-Westerly gales, heavy rain and snowfall for the duration of the day. Â At lower levels the snowpack is soft, thawing and becoming saturated. Â Creep lines which indicate snowpack weaknesses have developed on steep banks. Â Snow is falling at higher altitudes where unstable windslab is developing.
Underfoot conditions, a mix of heather, weight supporting snow and post holing!
