Calm before the wind

A calm clear and cold morning. Â During the afternoon conditions turned increasingly windy with drifting snow and precipitation falling as light snowfall above 600 metres.
Soft snow currently remains on all aspects at higher levels. Â This is creating arduous underfoot conditions especially on the plateau and terrain mostly above 1000 metres. Â Firm snow ice is exposed on some wind scoured areas.
