Poor visibility

10th February 2024

Strong South-Easterly winds moderated through the day.  Some light drifting at higher levels.  The storm slab is slowly consolidating, a slow rise in temperature has promoted this; however instabilities remain in steep locations.

Cornice development on a NW aspect at 700m, from the last 24 hours of wind and snowfall.

Lean sometimes icy conditions at lower levels.

Accumulations of new snow on the lee side of these small features at 700m.

Looking up towards the Northern Corries, here visibility was poor.
