Snowfall
15th March 2024
A day of snowfall on fresh Northerly winds. Visibility was poor above 700 metres. This is quite often the case when the winds come from the North. New snow lies above 600 metres. This is quite sticky and wet at lower altitudes, but at higher levels, there is drifting snow with unstable windslab developing in lee areas.

On a SE aspect at 1100m. The shooting cracks underfoot indicate weaknesses within this newly developed windslab.
